Heather and Jon’s Wedding
I posted some of Heather and Jon’s engagement photos last week. Today I’m posting a few of their wedding photos. I was experimenting with some new off-camera flash techniques in a few of the reception photos, and I’m really liking the results. I’ve also been doing a lot more black-and-white images, which I’m really digging as well.
Event Photography - EBX Taste For Artisans
I shot the Taste for Artisans Event for the East Bay Express Recently. It was a pretty cool event to photograph; there was a mechanical bull, a pie eating contest, and of course creamed corn wrestling (which it turns out is even more gross than it sounds).
Here are a few of my favorite shots, and a short video of some competitive pie eating:
Heather and Jon - Engagement Photos
Here are some shots from an engagement photo session that I did back in October. We took these at the Botanical Garden in Berkeley’s Tilden Park, which is an amazing location with a lot of variety. Heather and Jon were married in March, and I’ll be posting some of their wedding photos soon. Enjoy!
Open House Photo Booth
We had an open house at the studio last weekend, and I set up a little “photobooth” for the guests. People could wander in and push a button to take their photo. After each shot was taken, the photo would be projected onto the plain white backdrop where it would remain until the next photo was taken.
Everyone who tried it had a blast, and some of the photos are pretty amazing. I love seeing all the different ideas people come up with when given a blank canvas to create something.
I’ll definitely have to do this again.
San Francsicso City Hall Wedding
I shot Junko and Tatsuya’s wedding at San Francisco City Hall last November. A lot of people get married at City Hall, but this couple really had fun with it and made it their own. After the ceremony we took bridal portraits at Crissy Field. This was one of my favorite weddings I’ve shot and the whole thing was over and done in about two hours. Short but sweet!
