Multicultural Triple-Wedding Extravaganza
I had the pleasure of photographing Rebecca and Palden’s wedding back in November of 2009. Actually, they had three wedding ceremonies in one day. The bride’s family are from Vietnam, so there was a Vietnamese Buddhist wedding ceremony at her family’s home in the morning. The groom’s father and mother are Tibetan Buddhist and Nepali Hindu respectively. So there were two more ceremonies in the afternoon. All this was followed by a reception at a restaurant.
After all was said and done there were three wedding ceremonies in two different locations, and four wardrobe changes for the bride and groom. It was great to get to see so many different wedding traditions in one day, but it was also pretty exhausting!
